Asking a beginner about the history of gambling and casino games could lead them to say that it was in the 16th century, or even 1 000 BC. Since I conducted my own research I am able to confirm that gambling dates back to the time of Zeus, the Olympian god, and I am confident in this.

Since at the time, playing cards were manufactured manually and separately and only skilled craftsmen were able to create cards, only the rich had access to them making them extremely popular amongst common people.

Mesopotamia, Ancient Persia, Egypt and India were also places to play games of chance and it is believed that the places is where the backgammon game gets its origins from. Initially,  free games to play  of throwing dice was tied to divination, or telling the future by interpreting the signs of runes, bones, and pebbles stones. In the later years, this was a regular game of luck that includes throwing dice.
